Her parents, Barbara and Eddie Smith voluntarilly allowed themselves to be killed in a automotive collision in Hertfordshire, on the outskirts of Foxgrove, on 18 August 1951 in order to correct the timeline and save the Earth from the Trickster. Behind the scenes

Actors Peter Copley, Bernard Horsfall and Neil Wilson were all born in Hertfordshire.

The production of the Seventh Doctor serial The Greatest Show in the Galaxy had to be filmed in the car park of the Clarendon Road studios of BBC Elstree in Borehamwood when the discovery of asbestos in BBC Television Centre scuttled the story's studio time.

Five years later, the EastEnders scenes of the thirtieth anniversary special Dimensions in Time were filmed on Clarendon Road studios' Albert Square exterior set.
