Bob Decker said he had a "funny feeling" about him, but concluded he would not be able to beat Kennedy if he won the nomination. While not identified by first name in The Devil Goblins from Neptune [+]Loading...["The Devil Goblins from Neptune (novel)"], this character is intended to be the real world politician Nelson Rockefeller. Rockefeller was a candidate in the 1968 Republican Party presidential primaries against Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan.
Rockefeller would later serve as Vice President under Gerald Ford, although this fact has not been mentioned in DWU sources.
