Olive Hawthorne's father was the father to twin girls, Olive and Poppy Hawthorne.

He fought in World War II until his hand was damaged and he was sent back. He got a job as a foreman at a dairy factory. (PROSE: The Inheritance)
Mr. Hawthorne went out to alert the local constable when Poppy went missing following Olive's nighttime visit from Lobelia. The police searched for Poppy for many months, but she was never found. (HOMEVID: The Inheritance)
