History[[edit] | [edit source]]
The salvage obtainable from the sunken Elysium (PROSE: Daryl Christofi) included the valuable gold ingots and machine parts among the ship's cargo. The salvage rights to the Elysium were contested by the local authorities as soon as a day after her crash on 17 July 1888, (PROSE: Pride of Mayfield Star Lines Beached in Devastating Storm) and by the 2010s, some of the rights were obtained by Daryl Christofi.
