Elinor Martin, or Ellie for short, was an environmental activist and friend of Sarah Jane Smith. She called her "SJ" because she knew it annoyed her. (AUDIO: Comeback)

In 2002, Ellie was working on a protest in Cloots Coombe against Rechauffe with Maude Fletcher, and sent her friend Josh Townsend to find Sarah Jane, who was working as a cashier at a bank under the alias "Marie Samuels". Josh and Sarah joined Ellie and the other protesters in the village. Sarah and Josh put a stop to Rechauffe's plot. (AUDIO: Comeback)

She was evicted from an underground station. She arranged to meet Townsend in Hyde Park. She was involved in Harris's trap. She was rescued by James Carver. (AUDIO: Test of Nerve)

- Ellie Martin was created for the Sarah Jane Smith audio series, and was originally intended to be Sam Jones, an Eighth Doctor companion who joined Sarah-Jane in PROSE: Interference. By the time of writing AUDIO: He Jests at Scars..., however, Ellie Martin was a distinctive character of her own.[1]
