- Giles compares PROBE HQ to the back room of PC World after the Christmas party.
- Dr Egoisto works at North Manchester General Hospital.
- Giles thinks of Manchester as the home of football teams and Coronation Street, the Arndale Centre and the Lowry.
- Giles and Dr Egoisto examine the corpse of Cliff Styles.
- Egoisto has an iPad. He uses it to find out that Cliff was from Grimsby.
- Alternate versions of Giles, Tasha and Az came from an a universe where Perihelion had already happened. They travelled between universes using an experimental universe jumping portal.
