Dalek (The Waters of Mars)
A Dalek drone was one of the New Dalek Empire (TV: The Waters of Mars) and was thus created by Davros himself. (TV: The Stolen Earth)
History[[edit] | [edit source]]
A day to come[[edit] | [edit source]]
Through the projections of the Matrix, the Time War-era Time Lords foresaw the Planetary Relocation Incident and were also aware of historical documents which told of the encounter between the Dalek and Adelaide Brooke. (PROSE: Dalek Combat Training Manual)
Encounter with Adelaide[[edit] | [edit source]]
In the invasion of Earth, during the planet's forced relocation by the Daleks to the Medusa Cascade, this Dalek passed by Adelaide Brooke's house while her father was looking for her mother. Adelaide observed the Dalek, as it did her for a long moment, and it spared her life, flying off. (TV: The Waters of Mars) Whilst the Dalek plan with the reality bomb called for the destruction of everything non-Dalek, it was speculated by the Time Lords that this Dalek, knowing Brooke was important to established history, elected to spare her to ensure the doomsday plan carried on. (PROSE: Dalek Combat Training Manual)
This Dalek returned to the Dalek fleet in the Medusa Cascade, which all but was destroyed when the Meta-Crisis Tenth Doctor committed genocide against the New Dalek Empire, (TV: Journey's End) leaving only a ship with three Daleks. (TV: Victory of the Daleks) The Tenth Doctor believed the Dalek recognised her as a fixed point in time. The event inspired Adelaide to go into space, to follow it, not for revenge, but to explore. Adelaide herself was credited by the Doctor for her role in mankind's Break-out. (TV: The Waters of Mars)

Depiction[[edit] | [edit source]]
Seen in flight, this Dalek was depicted mostly using CGI. However, a hero prop was used for a close-up shot of its dome, which sported an identification tag originally seen on a Vault Dalek in The Stolen Earth/Journey's End and would later be seen on the Bronze Dalek in Victory of the Daleks.[1][2]
