The character of Death's Head appeared in many comic stories.
Death's Head had a unique place in Doctor Who continuity in that it was through his interactions with the Seventh Doctor - particularly in Time Bomb! - that the Doctor Who universe could be called a part of the larger Marvel universe. Despite this fact, the character was originated in a non-DWU capacity and continued to appear after Marvel Comics had lost the Doctor Who licence.

Other Death's Head titles[[edit] | [edit source]]
As well as Death's Head (1988), the character appeared in several other stories that bore his name:
- Death's Head II saw a soft reboot of the character by Marvel UK that featured a new version of Death's Head. This "second Death's Head" was the combination of a living being named Minion and the mind of the original Death's Head, stabilised by the efforts of Reed Richards of the prime Marvel universe's Fantastic Four. The resulting creature was thus a cyborg, which further distinguished him from the original.
- Death's Head 3.0 was a 2005 mini-series which added yet a third version of the character to the Marvel universe. Though this is the version of the character probably most familiar to modern US comic fans, there is no clear narrative link between 3.0 and the earlier versions. However, like all versions of Death's Head, 3.0 was created by Simon Furman.
- Death's Head (2019) was a 2019 mini-series which saw the return of the original Death's Head and the introduction of Death's Head 4.0 and Death's Head V. Keepsake's vulture had a brief cameo in a flashback in issue #1.
Additionally, there are several minor Marvel US characters also known as "Death's Head", but none of these lasted long enough to get a solo title or mini-series. Therefore, "Death's Head" in comics is usually interpreted as one of Simon Furman's creations.
