Praxeus was the sixteenth adventure in The Thirteenth Doctor Sourcebook, adapted from the TV story of the same name.

Summary[[edit] | [edit source]]

The plot follows the television story, with variance depending on how it is played. Player characters might discover elements of the plot in a different order than in the episode.

Players can also attempt to befriend Suki Cheng and prolong her life, leading to her possibly sacrificing herself at the end of the adventure in a similar way to Jake Willis, issuing the adventurers a dying wish to get the information on Praxeus to her planet.

Further Adventures[[edit] | [edit source]]

In "Octopus Nation", octopi at the bottom of the Indian Ocean encounter Praxeus' plastic warren and are mutated by it, gaining human levels of sentience and communication. After the octopi demand that humanity be put on trial for its damage to the environment, the adventurers arrive stop a war between the two species.

In "Belly of the Beast", the adventurers may follow Suki's dying wish they received if their version of the main Praxeus followed the path of Suki being befriended. They arrive at the planet to find a large portion of it covered in a vast plastic warren. Discovering a cryogenically frozen population, the adventurers must figure out how to defeat Praxeus as it grows in power from its control of animal life.
