The Continuity Cap was a Doctor Who Adventures comic story featuring the Tenth Doctor and Donna Noble.

The comic featured a device which would switch elements of the primary Doctor Who universe with parallel realities, depicting such things as a red telephone box TARDIS and a sonic toothbrush. The comic is also notable for introducing lore relating to the Dark Times, certainly uncommon for the era and the typical tone of Doctor Who Adventures.

Worldbuilding

• The Continuity Cap functions by swapping elements of the Doctor's universe with other universes. Thus, logically, all of the alternate elements of the Doctor's life come from other universes.
• In the version of Earth after the Cap is set off, Dodos are not extinct.
• Her hands changed to claws, Donna complains that she feels "Racnossy".

Notes

A Sontaran is inserted into the comic's illustration.

• A feature of the 67th issue of Doctor Who Adventures was that an image of the Sontaran Skorr was hidden somewhere in the magazine. Those who identified where he was hidden and mailed in a response were given a chance at winning a Doctor Who Uno set. It just happens that Skorr was hiding within the Continuity Cap comic, being hidden in a depiction of the Hyffon conflict which led to the creation of the Continuity Cap. This depiction, of a Sontaran taking part in an infamous ancient war, does make sense from an in-universe perspective, despite the Sontaran clearly being a production photo edited into a 2D illustration.
• Once can presume that many elements of this story, such as Stephen Cropper being knighted and the futuristic depiction of Earth, are an effect of the Continuity Cap.
