Samuel Preston

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Samuel Preston was a fourteen year old reader of the website Doctor Who?.

Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]

In March 2005, he found the site and told his grandfather about it, but his grandfather told him to never look at it again. Samuel crept into his grandfather's office and found his diary about the time that he was in Auschwitz, Germany during World War II. When he saw a man he believed to be a Nazi attempting to escape, his grandfather shot him, then locked him in a cell, taking a photograph as evidence. His grandfather also discovered a "strange box" in a field nearby. Later, he found that the cell was empty and the box had vanished. Samuel claimed that the photo, stuck in the diary, showed the Doctor. (PROSE: Have You Seen This Man? [+]Loading...["Have You Seen This Man? (short story)"])

Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

Lonnie's entry was removed from Have You Seen This Man? [+]Loading...["Have You Seen This Man? (short story)"] by its fourth update,[1], presumably removed for its perceived trivialisation of the Holocaust, and/or its somewhat ambiguous connection of the Doctor with Nazism (evidently intended as a commentary on the German uniform jacket used as part of the Ninth Doctor's costume).
