The War Games was the twenty-first and final adventure in The Second Doctor Sourcebook, adapted from the TV story of the same name.

Summary[[edit] | [edit source]]

The plot follows the television story, with variance depending on how it is played.

Further Adventures[[edit] | [edit source]]

In the first scenario, the War Chief is revealed to have regenerated. He still has an ambition to rule the galaxy. Adventurers may encounter several of his schemes, with his new incarnation probably going by a new title.

In the second scenario, some of the soldiers from the War Game who crossed zones during the battle may have brought back advanced weaponry from the future when they were returned to their native times.

In the third scenario, the Time Lords may have made a mistake in returning the soldiers and someone may have been deposited at a different era than the one they came from.

Characters[[edit] | [edit source]]

Worldbuilding[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • Instead of dying, the War Chief may have regenerated and escaped in a SIDRAT. His new incarnation could look like anyone.
  • If the Time Lords rewrote history at the end of the War Game, then technically it never happened for its participants.
  • All the Time Lord Councillors have regenerated at least once.
