Samuel Anderson (born 27 April 1982[1]) played Danny Pink in several episodes of the eighth series of Doctor Who. He also made an uncredited appearance as Orson Pink in Listen.

After having left the show as Danny, Anderson also read the short story The Gingerbread Trap for Time Lord Fairy Tales.

Career[[edit] | [edit source]]

Anderson was born in Birmingham, but moved to London to attend drama school (ALRA). He originated a role in the National Theatre's production of The History Boys alongside Sacha Dhawan, Russell Tovey, Samuel Barnett, Jamie Parker, and James Corden, before taking several minor parts in television.

Some time prior to his role in Doctor Who, he acted in the soap opera Emmerdale. Jenna Coleman was playing another recurring character in the series, but the two had no significant degree of interaction.
