Hugh Bonneville (born 10 November 1963[1]) played Captain Henry Avery in The Curse of the Black Spot and A Good Man Goes to War. He also portrayed Sir Sidney Herbert and Tsar Nicholas I in the Big Finish Doctor Who audio story The Angel of Scutari.

He also contributed to the charity reference book Behind the Sofa: Celebrity Memories of Doctor Who.

His most recognised role is as Lord Grantham in the television drama Downton Abbey and Henry Brown in the Paddington film series (with Peter Capaldi, Ben Miller, Jim Broadbent, Hugh Grant, Joanna Lumley, Sanjeev Bhaskar and Jessica Hynes).
