I want to create a redirect page for one of the "Wanted Pages." I click on the red link and get the "you are making a new page" message with a drop down box of templates at the top. I choose 'Administrative pages -- redirect' from the list and nothing populates. (I actually see it in the list twice, and have tried both top and bottom.) I thought it might be because I normally use Firefox, but I get the same non-result in Internet Explorer and Safari.

If I use Insert > Template in the edit button bar and search for 'redirect' it gives me a template, but I can't figure out how to create a working link within it. I also tried just typing the text that shows up when you roll over the puzzle piece, which did not work either.

The closest thing I found in the Help files was Help:Preloadable Formats section called Basic Functionality, but I do not know enough Java to make that format work for me either.

Is it because I do not have the access privilidges for this action or am I missing another step? Oh, and now that I created a non-working redirect page, I can't se how to delete it to put it back in the "Wanted Pages" section. M. Gail P. 02:44, August 21, 2011 (UTC)

To request a page be deleted add {{proposed deletion|DELETE REASON}} onto the page, replacing DELETE REASON with why you want the page deleted.
The redirect template should work, but should it not you can simply manually type it onto the page and click publish, this is what you type; #redirect [[PAGENAME]], replacing PAGENAME with the name of the page you wish to redirect it to. Hope this helps. --Tangerineduel / talk 16:21, August 21, 2011 (UTC)
