Being fairly new to wikis I see the stub tag on many of the articles that I'm working on and I'm wondering how this community decides when an article is no longer considered a stub.

Two examples that I'm not sure fit the stub status are The Lost Ones and Zarbi Supremo.

Any thoughts? --Raukodraug 21:34, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

stubs do get overused on this Wiki. use your common sense. if you feel it doesn't belong, edit it out. the stub belongs, I think, under two circumstances:
articles on significant subjects which have not enough information, even though they may have a fair bit of information relative to other articles. by important I mean, articles on companions, actors who have played the Doctor on television, etc.
or: articles of lesser significant which have pretty much no information other than a filled-out infobox.
again, though, if you feel the stub category doesn't belong, delete it. and, yes, Zarbi Supremo shouldn't have had a stub tag. (I haven't checked the other article.)--Stardizzy2 22:45, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
There is not definite rule about whether articles are stubs or not as Stardizzy2 has said. But basically most of the sections of the article should have something in them so that the article can provide a good amount of information.
I've gone through The Lair of the Zarbi Supremo and The Lost Ones and edited it to give an idea of what I mean, depending on how much information is available it could be considered not a stub, but it seems there's still some information that could be added.
Discontinuities don't really need to be included within the short stories or novels unless in very extreme cases. --Tangerineduel 13:53, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
problem: this Wiki doesn't have a stub tag for sections, just for whole articles. --Stardizzy2 15:20, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the guidance.--Raukodraug 14:30, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Stub tags for sections would be...messy for this wiki as there are multiple sections (generally) in articles that usually have nothing in them (having them I think would needlessly complicate and bulk out pages). As it's been said a lot of the stubs could probably be removed after some work. Often some users posting information just by default add the stub tag even when large amounts of information are added. --Tangerineduel 16:15, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
