Just a few questions, for general reference when using this wiki, if the topics of the questions are ever needed, if you get what I mean:

  1. Is there any place to request articles for deletion yet? (I can't find anywhere for it)
  2. After a page has been merged / moved, are there any procedures which may need to be taken after?

Thanks in advance, ~ Ghelæ -talk-contribs 14:20, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

1. Just bring it up on the Talk page or on the forum, or move it into Category:Proposed deletions.
2. None that I can think of.

Ok. As a point, I asked the second one because I moved Slitheen Venom Grub to Venom Grub, so that a longer article could be written about the venom grubs. So basically, I was wondering if there was anything which may have been needed to be done about the former, (as there was only one link to it) like the link be changed to Venom Grub and the redirect to be deleted, or whether it was best to leave it as it is... ~ Ghelæ -talk-contribs 15:39, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
Naw, the extra redirects are fine. It just means that if someone is searching for an articles with unusual titles, there's more chances that they'll find it. Azes13 16:21, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, good point. So basically, finally (I hope), there's no official deletion process, just propose the deletion on the talk page and add the article to the category? ~ Ghelæ -talk-contribs 16:38, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
Well, I guess so. So far, the only pages that have been deleted have been spam pages, which didn't take much talking about. Azes13 17:23, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
And I suppose this not being a 'general' wiki such as Wikipedia or Uncyclopedia, most non-acceptable pages are also obvious, so... ok, thanks. ~ Ghelæ -talk-contribs 17:26, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

There are a lot of categories in the proposed deletions section, but no comments on whether to delete or not. Is there any consensus on whether to delete or not?--GingerM 18:39, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

Delete them if there're no pages or other categories in them, otherwise, leave them and they'll probably get removed or made redundant sooner or later. ~ Ghelæ -talk-contribs 18:41, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

Archivist's notes[[edit source]]

Honestly, I have no idea what these people are rabbiting on about. Nothing here sounds like anything I recognise about current site operation. Sounds like they're just trying to understand how to use the delete/move function that's basic to wikia. This idea of there being a lot of sub-categories to category:proposed deletions is really odd to me; I've never seen that here, but this discussion is slightly before my time.

In any case, none of this is reflective of current reality. Deletion is now pretty well defined through the deletion policy
