Davros is credited by Colin Baker, currently under the {{{actor}}} variable in Davros' infobox. I assume that's not a live-action role, "main" or "other"? Which story did he do that anyway? -- Tybort (talk page) 20:14, March 24, 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, I had a real struggle with allowing that. In the end I got tired of thinking and just pushed "publish". I'm not sure that one-off audio performances are really infobox-worthy. I mean, fine, Caitlin Blackwood has a legitimate claim to Amy Pond — and I think even one-episode actors who are portraying a character at a different time of life do — but this Colin thing is like a body swap. Kinda like the Daniel Anthony-as-Eleven deal in Death of the Doctor. Is that really important enough to count? I think it's noteworty in the article about Daniel Anthony or even Colin Baker. But if it's gonna be in the infobox on Davros, maybe it needs a new variable like {{{minor actor}}} or something like that.

The fact that you, a fan with a reasonable knowledge of DW trivia, were stumped means that the infobox isn't really working as it is. It's okay for an infobox to provide information that is not immediately apparent — people have different levels of knowledge about the DWU. But this is almost a case of true trivia entering the infobox. Any ideas about how to make it work better, please let me know.

Yeah, even so, my knowledge is mostly limited to the revival series plus "common knowledge" from the classic series. I think I've listened to about four Big Finish audios in total (plus the two Big Finish-produced webcasts).

Also, I thought that "other actor" was what small, obscure roles was FOR. Granted, there isn't actually a voice equivalent. -- Tybort (talk page) 21:25, March 26, 2012 (UTC)

I would tend to disagree with these body-swap sort of circumstances being in the infobox.

In many cases they're even pretending to be the character; which is the case of The Curse of Davros, for probably half of the audio it's Davros pretending to be the Doctor though played by Colin Baker, and the same for Terry Molloy who as Davros is though the Doctor.

I think for it to be in the infobox, which describes these roles as "main roles" they need to have been in these roles more than once. So for Colin Baker that'd leave just the Doctor and Maxil (Maxil's appeared in the Gallifrey audio series as well as Arc of Infinity). --Tangerineduel / talk 08:52, March 31, 2012 (UTC)
