Forum:Infobox: Help put the new Infobox Conflict on pages
Following up on long-ignored discussion at Template talk:Infobox Conflict, {{Infobox Conflict}} now displays the sides of a conflict more clearly. This has required the introduction of a number of new variables, which means that about half of the current variables on pages in category:conflicts now no longer display. They will have to be hand-edited in order for the infoboxes to display properly.
Fortunately, we've recently opened up an editing track in the Game of Rassilon for conflicts, so you'll be earning points while you edit.
Please make sure that you do not violate T:NO HTML while you make the transition. This means that all <ul>, <li> structures should be abandoned. Simply separated principle combatants and leaders with commas. It's also recommended that you keep names as short as possible — e.g., "Hitler" rather than "Adolf Hitler". See World War II for a live example of best practices with the the new style.
Note, too, that this infobox fills in a few of the variables with "unknown" if you don't enter a value. If you don't know the leaders or the strengths, it will automatically place "unknown" in the box. (Remember, we can only use information that is actually given to us by a DWU story. That's why the World War II box says "unknown", even though we know an approximate real world figure.)
