this would apply both to canonical (and non-canonical Doctors from Doctor Who Unbound, The Curse of Fatal Death, etc.) (the non-canonical category includes at least two female incarnations... suggested fields to include:

 • Number of incarnation (if applicable)
 • Debut story
 • Last story (i.e. when he or she regenerates, if he has done so)
 • Full list of companions
 • Appearances (or link to a list of his/her appearances)
 • Previous/Next incarnation (if applicable)

I may have proposed this in the forums before. --Stardizzy2 18:07, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

Seems like a good idea. Perhaps circumstances of regeneration might also be included. -<Azes13 19:01, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

I think canonicity of Doctor is vital (e.g. alternate/clone/non-canonical/canon) Taccer 07 22:27, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

lists of companionsedit source

Sounds good in principle - the problem comes when listing the companions as people have different ideas on that. Jack's the man - 13:24, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
well the companions listed can be the ones that most people are happy with and the rest can just be mentioned in the article somewhere. Dark Lord Xander 11:31, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
No. That's not a solution because everyone is going to have an opinion on what 'most people' think. Could a link 'Full list of X Doctor companions' be better? --Tangerineduel 16:17, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

Like we have for appearances ? yes that could work cos it could be divided up into different media types Dark Lord Xander 23:30, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

Yeah exactly, that at least would keep everyone happy. --Tangerineduel 14:25, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
Now that might work - although it still had the problem of "who are the companions". Jack's the man - 15:46, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
well, remember, guys, on a Wiki you can always change what you don't like. so if users have strong ideas either way, let consensus prevail. we also already have lists of companions which some people would dispute. Stardizzy2 16:05, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
Yes, I know - I'm not arguing against it on that basis - I think it is a good idea myself - I am hust pointing out a possible problem. I do support the idea though. Jack's the man - 17:45, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
Well Its simple really put all the possible companions for each doctor and if anyone has a problem with a character being included discuss it on the talk page until it is decided one way or the other Dark Lord Xander 01:33, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

Generic Time Lord Porfileedit source

Maybe we should produce two infobox templates: One for the Time Lord character as a whole , and then one for individual Time Lord incarnatons (Romana II, 8th Doctor.etc). Sometimes a chracter may not even need a page for incarnations as they've only been seen in one form. This could be applied to canon/non-cannon versions of: The Doctor Romana The Rani The Master.etc Taccer 07 23:07, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

Archivist's notesedit source

The first and third sections here were, as far as I can determine, never enacted. Certainly today, infobox Individual is used for Time Lords and incarnations of the Doctor alike. The middle bit about companions, though, did result in List of companions, though I don't think Tangerineduel was quite right in his prediction that it would "keep everybody happy". Also, his list proposal, though adopted, didn't stop the creation of companion navboxes, such as Companions of the First Doctor, et al. And the concept of a "Full list of companions of the First Doctor" never got off the ground. Nothing about this thread was completely successful, so it failed. But the idea of listing companions by media does persist in the current companion navboxes, so there's a tiny bit of this thread which survives.
