Howling:Does Robin Hood know too much?

The Doctor seemed a bit upset about Robin knowing about Gallifrey and the TARDIS. That's the kind of information that could change history or help hostile parties (like the Silence) track the Doctor, and we've seen the Doctor try to lower his profile on recent occasions, like wiping himself from the Dalek pathweb (reinforced in Into the Dalek, where the Doctor was initially alarmed when the Dalek referred to him as a Doctor).
Robin's excuse was that Clara had told him; presumably this took place during his interrogation of her prior to infiltrating the castle for the last time. He seems very keen on knowing about the Doctor then ("You will tell me exactly who this Doctor is, and what are his plans."). The Doctor never reprimands her later for giving out too much information. This leaves two possibilities:
- Robin was lying and "cracked out of turn." He knew about the Doctor through channels as yet unexplained, not through Clara. His speech about not being a hero and being as real as the Doctor, and the Doctor's continued disbelief of Robin's identity, might have consequences later.
- Clara did give him information that he shouldn't have had. She also gave him a picture of herself. This opens up the danger of allowing information to leak out about the doctor, whether into general knowledge of a time-traveling Gallifreyan or into the hands of specific enemies.

You remember how Clara led the Sheriff to believe that she knew all about the invaders by pretending to? I personally think it was something similar to that. Robin could just somehow...tell. Of course if he mentioned specifics like Gallifrey then that theory is unlikely, but I can't remember the exact words. 213.249.213.20talk to me 10:52, September 7, 2014 (UTC)
