I noticed something in Matt Smith's Bob Dylan homage that made me think. At about 0:54 seconds, when it says "TO THE FANS", there's an image of some vampire fangs. Now it first seemed to be some sort of cheap pun, but could it be a clue to the next Doctor somehow? Especially since Matt would most definitely know who it is if he's already been cast. The Doctor becoming a Vampire? Surly, you are not suggesting that! ;)

If anyone, I would want it to be http://whatculture.com/tv/doctor-who-6-actors-who-could-be-the-12th-doctor.php/6 The preceding unsigned comment was added by 92.15.150.114 (talk).

Lawrence Fox would be a brilliant Doctor. As Sgt. Hathaway he has shown that he is adept at explaining things with humour. He is a man of many hairstyles. And if you saw him playing a British Nazi sympathizer in Foyle's War, you know he can be extremely manic as well. And Hathaway left to try to recover his sense of man's goodness. Sounds like a trip in the Tardis is just what the doctor ordered.

But I would take the fangs, if they mean anything, to not refer to the future Doctor per se, but if a clue, to something for which his replacement is known. Though I have not seen him in anything since "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," I understand Robert Pattinson has played a vampire of some note. Perhaps that is what the fangs are meant to suggest. The Whovians who detest all the fangirls attracted by David Tennant would probably not be pleased.Phil Stone 15:57, July 20, 2013 (UTC)

My immediate impression with Damien Maloney from Being Human. He's worked with Mark Gatiss on it, and it was written by Toby Whithouse. Plus, now that the show's ended, that would leave him available. That and the fact that he's said he'd do it if asked... Gallifrey102 14:35, July 21, 2013 (UTC)

They announced it's Peter Capaldi from 'The Fires of Pompeii'.The preceding unsigned comment was added by 108.246.48.79 (talk).
