In lets kill hitler, after mels regenerates into river song, she says "oh that's magnificent." Then she says she will wear lots of jumpers. Why does she say this?--Coop3 ☎ 20:59, August 29, 2013 (UTC)
- She's happy with her new figure and can't wait to show it off. Shambala108 ☎ 01:50, August 30, 2013 (UTC)
- She actually says "jodhpurs," which are a type of form-fitting trousers (which, incidentally, she later wears in "The Pandorica Opens"/"The Big Bang").– The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ensephylon (talk • contribs) .
Even if that's correct, what does she mean is magnificent that she would want to show it off?--Coop3 ☎ 18:36, October 14, 2013 (UTC)
I'd say she just really liked her current form. The form she would end up keeping forever. It's kind of the expression you would expect if The Doctor ever got his wish and became a Ginger. --The Messenger John Tyler ☎ 22:06, October 15, 2013 (UTC)
Just watched the scene recently, she definitely says jumpers. Either that or alex Kingston says "ph" like "m". Didn't want to say this last time but got to: I think it is something sexual. Because before she goes away she points to her "lady parts", then shouts "oh that's magnificent" and says "I'm going to wear lots of jumpers". Even rory, amy and the doctors facial expressions seem shocked when she shouts out. Don't know if there is any rule on this wiki that bans mentioning sexual stuff, don't see why there would be because there is a page called sex. So please don't say anything bad towards me because of this. --Coop3 ☎ 00:40, February 10, 2014 (UTC)
It's River. In the presence of the Doctor. Of course "it is something sexual". With facial expression & tone of voice, River (i.e., Alex Kingston) could turn well-nigh any remark into "something sexual". She could probably say, "Reverse the polarity of the neutron flow," & make it hotter than "Come up and see me sometime" ever was. --89.241.220.6talk to me 18:56, February 10, 2014 (UTC)
It's not her lady-parts, but her rear she is gesturing toward. She checks out her bottom in the mirror, then declares it magnificent, and announces her intention to wear lots of jodhpurs, aka riding pants, to best show off this attribute. Which she later does.
I've just watched the scene again with subtitles on, and she most definitely says (the subtitles agree) "jodhpurs".
