Is it just me, or do the events of Kill the Moon (TV story) completely obviate The Waters of Mars (TV story)? I know timey wimey, but still. Had to get that off my chest. If this is misappropriation of the forum, apologies. ----Ebyabe (talk) 02:22, October 5, 2014 (UTC)

I'm guessing you mean in the sense that it provides an alternative reason for humanity to look to the stars? Maybe the Mars mission was inspired by the events of Kill The Moon. 213.249.213.20talk to me 09:06, October 5, 2014 (UTC)

Bear in mind that the destruction of Bowie Base One wasn't said to have inspired humanity to go the the stars. It inspired Adelaide's granddaughter to become an astronaut who would, in turn, lead humanity to the stars. So, essentially, seeing the moon hatch reignited humanity's drive to colonize space, and that led to the Bowie Base One mission on Mars, but it wouldn't be until Adelaide's granddaughter did whatever revolutionary thing it was that she did that humanity's ambitions would finally begin to manifest in full. Sorry, I was confusing the Moon and Mars. Yeesh I'm getting old or something.  :) ----Ebyabe (talk) 05:38, October 7, 2014 (UTC)

Well...they're both 4 letters and begin with 'M'...so it's an easy mistake to make, I guess. 213.249.213.20talk to me 16:04, October 7, 2014 (UTC)
