Recently, it was decided that The universe's greatest assassin has just 24 hours to escape Death and find the Doctor - where will Doom's Day take her next? shouldn't be a valid source based on the The Trip of a Lifetime precedent. Based on this, I don't think that Meet Death's Head should be valid, as it's literally just Death's Head asking the reader if they've read his previous comics. Cgl1999 19:55, 19 August 2023 (UTC)

Discussion

If people disagree I'll keep it open, but I think you're… factually wrong about the contents of the comic?? Nowhere in the comic are comics mentioned, and Death's Head isn't talking to the reader in a fourth-wall-breaky way — the text isn't actually dialogue, but something he wrote. The text says he was "called upon to write this short introduction…". It's an in-universe document. Much more like A Letter from the Doctor or Doctor Who and the Day of the Doctor than like a The universe's greatest assassin… or a Trip of a Lifetime. Are you sure you've got the right comic? COMIC: Meet Death's Head [+]Loading...["Meet Death's Head (comic story)"].

Yeah, this is nothing. Doesn't even slightly represent what the OP describes. Najawin 22:10, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
Agreed. I can’t see anything out of order either. Danniesen 22:24, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
I also want to say that it's a little odd to try and assign judgements like this to Death's Head. I've always been under the impression that stories with a character like Iris Wildthyme are held to a bit of a different standard than stories that just feature the Doctor. Death's Head often speaks to the audience, it's part of his style. If a DWM comic featured a Deadpool cameo, would we call that non-valid? I seriously doubt it. OS25🤙☎️ 22:32, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
Yeah, I agree with the above. I'm happy for this thread to be closed swiftly as its creation seems to have been a misunderstanding of the story's contents. Borisashton 22:44, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
As this thread's creator, I agree to this. I didn't notice that it was a written advertisement, I thought it was just Death's Head talking to the reader. Cgl1999 23:11, 19 August 2023 (UTC)

Conclusion

As discussed by the OP above, this thread was based on inaccurate premises. It doesn't actually break the fourth wall — Death's Head is just writing a summary of his past adventures, not talking directly to the reader, let alone acknowledging that he's a comic-book character. There just anything to discuss here. These things happen! Meet Death's Head remains valid, obviously. Moving on. Scrooge MacDuck 12:45, 28 August 2023 (UTC)
