So, as the Mondas and Pete's World Cybermen are exclusive to one another, I feel that we should either...

a) Divide the Cyberman enemies category into Cyberman (Mondas) enemies, Cyberman (Pete's World) enemies and Cyberman enemies (for the narratively ambiguous to-the-wiki ones in TV: A Good Man Goes to War and GAME: Blood of the Cybermen), or,

b) Leave the Mondas (and unknown origin) Cybermen in the normal Cyberman enemies group, but establish a Cyberman (Pete's World) enemies category for "the rest", as it were.

Does either of these work, or am I overthinking things? -- Tybort (talk page) 20:06, August 14, 2011 (UTC)

Don't worry about over thinking things.
I'd favour option A, as that's the most precise way of doing things.
That's also generally how a lot of categories work here, we've got precise categories like Category:Planets visited by the Tenth Doctor and then Category:Planets visited by the Doctor and then even more vague Category:Planets.
So your option A follows the further narrowing down of the category theory. --Tangerineduel / talk 16:09, August 15, 2011 (UTC)

I would also favour option A. --Revan\Talk 16:10, August 15, 2011 (UTC)

I would ask everyone to hold off on the Cyber craziness for about 7 weeks. Let's see if we get any more definition out of these new-look BBC Wales Cybermen. I'm still firmly opposed to this sort of "half-life", "other" status that the wiki seems to have agreed on. I'm not exactly sure what more people are looking for to confirm them as prime universe Cybermen, but maybe we'll get something. Logic insists they wouldn't have spent money on a design refit, even a fairly minor one, if they were only going to use them for 2 minutes in a teaser sequence in A Good Man Goes to War. So let's not make categories just yet. Remember that there are still several ways in which the Mondasian and Pete's World Cybermen could be one in the same, so let's just see if the remaining six episodes give us more. If not, we can proceed with this categorical split in October.
