I was just looking at the discussion "When can we create a Impossible Astronaut" page, and I saw a comment made by Tangerineduel (why can't his name be shorter?!) saying that this wiki is an encyclopedia, not a news source, which I agree. But why don't we make a new template, or even special pages, that are specially for news, take the Series 6 page for example. I know we already have the regularly updated Doctor Who Newspage at the bottom of the main page. I know this is a fairly pointless thing to point out, I'm only 11! You mean Series pages? Such as Series 6, Series 4 and Series? Mini-mitch\talk 16:41, April 18, 2011 (UTC)
I'm not sure what you're asking. News is reported information. As I said, on the other discussion anything we write needs a source, much like an essay, journal or of course, an encyclopædia.
When we present information, such as on the Series pages that Mini-mitch has linked to we read the sources, the news sources in those cases and pull out the relevant information and then source it. Those sources are the ones reporting the news we're interpreting and then presenting the information that is relevant to that particular subject. --Tangerineduel / talk 15:01, April 19, 2011 (UTC)
