Alexei Romanov

Tsarevich Alexei Romanov was the young son of Tsar Nicholas II and Tsarina Alexandra of Russia.

He inherited haemophilia through his blood relation to Queen Victoria of Great Britain. (PROSE: The Clockwise Man) The Tenth Doctor and Rose Tyler speculated that Victoria developed the disease, potentially a form of lycanthropy, after being bitten by the Lupine Wavelength Haemovariform. (TV: Tooth and Claw) Indeed, Alexandra too noted that the haemophilia in Alexei worsened when a "second moon [arrived] in the sky". (TV: The Power of the Doctor)

He was the male heir to the Russian throne but was killed with his parents and sisters following the revolution, (PROSE: The Clockwise Man) on 16 July 1918 in Ekaterinburg. (AUDIO: Last of the Romanovs)
