Anton van Wouw

A sculptor crafted a statue of Paul Kruger, president of the Transvaal.

Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]

At some point in the late 19th century, the sculptor was commissioned to create a statue of Paul Kruger. According to the Fifth Doctor, the sculptor had a "terribly difficult" job in doing so, as Kruger was uncomfortable while posing.

Nonetheless, the statue was created and later erected in the South African city of Pretoria. The future site of the statue was visited by the Doctor and Vislor Turlough, with the Doctor recounting the story of its creation to him.
