After footage of Operation Mannequin began circulating on the internet, UNIT identified most of the footage, and placed a bandwidth squeeze on any attempted download of the footage. (PROSE: Operation Mannequin)

While it isn't directly explained what a bandwidth squeeze is in PROSE: Operation Mannequin, it can be easily deduced that it involves reducing the bandwidth speed down to an unusable level, thus preventing any download of the footage of the Auton invasion.
