Private Carl Harris (PROSE: The Time Traveller's Almanac [+]Loading...["The Time Traveller's Almanac (reference book)"]) was a UNIT soldier during Operation Blue Sky in 2009. His call sign was Greyhound Fifteen.

Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]

Entering the ATMOS factory with other UNIT troops during their raid of the complex, Private Steve Gray and he discovered a cloning pool in the building's basement, the latter correctly identifying a creature in the pool as a human embryo that breathes the liquid it's contained in. The Sontaran General Staal commended him for his leadership skills and intelligence.

Staal hypnotised the two troopers and had them capture Martha Jones so the Sontarans could make a clone of her. (TV: The Sontaran Stratagem [+]Loading...["The Sontaran Stratagem (TV story)"]) While hypnotised, they regarded Staal as their commanding officer and considered it their duty to obey Sontaran commands.

Harris later teleported the Doctor's TARDIS onboard the Sontaran flagship. Soon after, they reported for duty to a Sontaran soldier who disposed of them during the battle with UNIT at the ATMOS factory. (TV: The Poison Sky [+]Loading...["The Poison Sky (TV story)"])

Parallel World[[edit] | [edit source]]

Carl Harris had his life changed for the worse on 25 June 2007, when Donna Noble turned right instead of left; this small change in affairs produced a parallel world.

Harris was a UNIT soldier on scene when the Tenth Doctor's body was recovered the River Thames on 25 December 2007. He informed Trap One that the Doctor had managed to stop the creature, which he referred to as "some sort of red spider". He then stated that they had found a body, presuming that it "must have happened too fast for him to regenerate". (TV: Turn Left [+]Loading...["Turn Left (TV story)"])

Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

Harris is credited only as "UNIT Soldier" in Turn Left. He is, however, identifiable as the previously-established Private Harris, as both his appearance (he is played by actor Clive Standen) and UNIT call sign (Greyhound Fifteen) match those of Private Harris in The Sontaran Stratagem.
