Doctorman Christine Allan was one of the creators of the Cybermen. She liked to drink the wine from the old regime on Mondas which slightly impaired her work. When the Fifth Doctor was brought to her, she analysed his body for a template for the Cyber race. This information improved the rate of survival among the Cybermen, starting with the Cyber-converted Thomas Dodd. She later took the Doctor's proposal onboard for updating the Cybermen's design to be "more human", though she found that the existing Cybermen found the proposed updates to be illogical and were more focused on increasing the rate of the existing conversion process.
