Dalek governor
Thousands of Dalek governors made up the Parliament of the Daleks. (PROSE: Dalek: The Astounding Untold History of the Greatest Enemies of the Universe)
History[[edit] | [edit source]]
Within the Parliament's saucer, the Nacrana Va Hateen, the Dalek governors' mental capacities were channeled by the Strategist Daleks who would present them as options to the Dalek Prime Minister, who could then instruct the Supreme Dalek. The Parliament's deliberations were highly classified, its sessions barely even recorded on the Dalek pathweb. However, as with administrations the galaxy over, there were leaks, both deliberate and accidental. (PROSE: Dalek Combat Training Manual, Dalek: The Astounding Untold History of the Greatest Enemies of the Universe)
During the Asylum Incident, the Eleventh Doctor, along with companions Amy Pond and Rory Williams, were brought before the Parliament aboard the Nacrana Va Hateen. There, they found themselves surrounded by thousands of bronze Daleks with the Prime Minister, Supreme and a Strategist Dalek present along with a number of Red Drones; initially replacing the bronze Daleks as mass-produced drones, the Red Drones were now an officer class in the Dalek Imperial Army as the bronze Daleks were deemed to provoke the most fear across the universe. The Doctor and his companions were sent to save the Daleks from the Dalek Asylum. Just as the Parliament was about to destroy the Asylum, Oswin Oswald removed any memory of the Doctor from the Daleks' Pathweb from the centre of the Asylum, causing the entire Parliament to forget the Doctor entirely. (TV: Asylum of the Daleks) Ultimately, the Parliament regained their memory of the Doctor during the Siege of Trenzalore, but they were destroyed with their ship at the end of the siege. Legacy[[edit] | [edit source]]
The Doctor's meeting with the Dalek Parliament was dramatised in the painting Predator of the Daleks, which depicted many of the Dalek governors with silver casings. (PROSE: Dalek: The Astounding Untold History of the Greatest Enemies of the Universe) In reality, most had been of the bronze design. (TV: Asylum of the Daleks)
