History[[edit] | [edit source]]

Edinburgh Castle was once seized by the English, only to be retaken in 1314 by the Scottish, who fought under Thomas Randolph. (PROSE: The Many Hands)

On 24 December 1909, Missy helped some thieves steal the Scottish Crown Jewels from inside the castle. (PROSE: Missing Habitas Frond)

Beneath Edinburgh Castle was Dolerite Base, a secret facility used by LONGBOW and HAVOC. (PROSE: Moon Blink, Mutually Assured Domination, The Grandfather Infestation)

By the 2010s, UNIT had a base beneath Edinburgh Castle. The Arch was stored there for a time after Adam Merchant's team found it in the sea. (AUDIO: The Enemy Beyond)

At some point in the early 21st century, Lady Christina de Souza was tasked by Sir Edward Scott Cameron with breaking into Edinburgh castle to steal George II’s war chest. When she succeeded, the Clan Gleff-Cotch Slitheen, including Sir Edward, stole the chest and detonated a device to liquify the rock beneath the castle, making it an active volcano. Christina used a beam on her bus to create a trench and redirect the lava flow. Later, the Slitheen Edwards attempted to turn Arthur's Seat into an active volcano as well, but Christina foiled his plan by using the 200's beam to move Edinburgh Castle and put it on the hill to plug the volcano. Jacqui McGee remarked that this would cause havoc for the trust guides. (AUDIO: Death on the Mile)
