Behind the scenes

• The claws haven't yet been identified in any valid source known to this wiki, only identified in the 2010 edition of The Visual Dictionary as the "retractable casing". However, to the production team of the 2023 specials of Doctor Who, these claws were referred to as the "Eleventh Doctor's flippy-out petals" as a seemingly official name.
  • A new sonic screwdriver designed for the Fourteenth Doctor had similar petals, as an homage to the Eleventh Doctor's screwdriver.
