Emily Fairfax was a telepath living in London in 1851. The Hypothetical Gentleman projected an image of a quantum resonator into her mind, convincing her and her husband Charles that it was an angel. Once they built it, the resonator allowed the Gentleman to enter our reality, but it was defeated by the Eleventh Doctor and Amy Pond. (COMIC: Hypothetical Gentleman)
