Fu Hao was a royal member of the Shang Dynasty, which spanned the 18th to the 12th century BC. One account, which disputed the existence of the "so-called" Futu dynasty, suggested that the Shang Dynasty would be consistent with Lin Futu, based on archeological discoveries made at the burial site of Fu Hao.
