The German War Office, or War Ministry, was a government institution of the Weimar Republic which met on the Odeonplatz in the German city of Munich.
On 9 November 1923, the War Office became the target of the NSDAP when they sought to topple the Weimar Republic during the Beer Hall Putsch. Police forces halted the coup and the NSDAP marchers were arrested or fled.
