Ginger was a male human teenager originally from Huddersfield. Homeless, he lived in the wastelands of 21st century London, where he had befriended an older man named Tommo. On Christmas Eve 2009, a man in a black hoodie began talking with them at Steven's Point. Ginger never said anything except, "Hold on, you look like that bloke, Harold Saxon, the one that went mad". Shortly thereafter, the man — who was in reality the Master — consumed both Ginger and Tommo. (TV: The End of Time)
While looking for a segment of the Key to Time, Missy (claiming to be the Doctor) took her past self to various points in their timeline. One of these was when the Master was chasing Tommo and Ginger. (COMIC: The Master Plan)
