A hamper was a basket filled with a range of high-quality food items, often given as a gift. In December 2006, Peter and Rita gave their son Jeremy, his partner Paul Magrs, Panda and Fester Cat a hamper of Christmassy foods and drinks from Marks & Spencer. (PROSE: The Story of Fester Cat)
