The Hiinds were a species who lived on the planet Vegan, the capital of Mufl's Empire. During Mufl's reign, The Hiinds, ruled by Kanulf, were considered rebels and accused of several attempts to assassinate Mufl. However, during the Second Doctor's visit it became apparent that Mufl's advisor Captain J'nk was actually responsible. (PROSE: Death to Mufl)
Nevertheless, the Hiinds overthrew the Mufl Empire in the 40th century and later tried to join the Galactic Federation. A Hiind athlete was present at the Intergalactic Olympic Games in 3999. (PROSE: Placebo Effect)
