In 2070, Captain Jacobs led a crew of three other astronauts on the colony ship Heart, during its failed mission to reach and eventually colonise Centauri-Beta. He was vaporised along with Elena while attempting to repair the ship's sabotaged engine room. (PROSE: Total Eclipse of the Heart)
