Jimmy was a journalist.
He questioned Captain Munro and then Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart about the Oxley Woods meteorite shower and the Third Doctor's identity. He later talked with fellow reporter Michael Wagstaffe, whom he knew, and also talked to Mullins about the mysterious Channing.
