kenickie was a reader of the website Who is Doctor Who?.

After the Dummy Massacre, the webmaster of Who is Doctor Who? asked his readers to send in their stories after there were supposed reports of "millions" of people hearing a "strange disembodied voice"; on 2 April 2005, kenickie wrote to the site saying that he thought he was the only one to have heard the voices since he told loads of people but no-one believed him.
