The Lakhotha were a tribe visited by the First Doctor, Steven Taylor and Katarina.
The Lakhotha were humanoid. They had copper-coloured skin and goat-like feet. They wore very little clothing. They used paint to denote an individual's place in the tribe.
The Lakhotha were a nomadic tribe. At the time of the Doctor's visit, the tribe had been losing people. They thought the people were being turned into plants and animals, though the Doctor was sceptical of this. However, the Doctor was proven wrong when the entire tribe underwent violent transformations, which the Doctor later learned were caused by a sentient machine called the Conduit.
