Lasso

Lassos were a tool used by cowboys, consisting of a rope tied into a circle on one end and thrown to capture something. The poster for Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show featured riders on horseback with lassos. After attempting to catch the sharp-clawed Mac'atyde by grabbing him, the Eleventh Doctor decided that he needed to start carrying a lasso because "lassos are cool". (COMIC: Ripper's Curse)
