Laura was an office worker in 1990s Stevenage.
Jamie, a member of Faction Paradox, found himself trapped in the same time period and began working at the same office as Laura. He used a reality-cutting knife to amalgamate Laura, Michael and Alison into a Matryoska Gestalt which he planned to sacrifice to tear a hole in space-time and make a portal to the Eleven-Day Empire, but he was overpowered and killed by the Gestalt. The Gestalt then tried to continue living an ordinary life in Stevenage. (PROSE: Office Politics)
