Linda (Jackalope)
Linda was a young woman and the girlfriend of Pete.
In 1970, Linda and Pete went skinny dipping in a lake near the Black Hills of South Dakota. They were menaced by several Jackalopes who attacked them. Pete was torn to shreds but Linda was able to escape. She was found by Señor 105 and Sheila who decided to help her find Pete, but the group uncovered Pete's body hung up like a scarecrow as an apparent warning. Several rabbits lay dead following a blood bath between ebony-horned rabbits and the crystal-horned Jackalopes. The Jackalopes returned and blasted Linda with a bolt of energy that resulted in large crystal antlers sprouting from her head. She and Sheila fled as 105 fought them off, but Linda ended up entering a cave which turned out to be the Jackalope's lair.
Inside the cave the Jackalopes possessed Linda, she was located by 105 and Sheila who opposed the Jackalope King. The King attempted to put 105 under his trance too by hitting him with a similar wave of energy, but 105 managed to transfer the energy into an ebony-horned rabbit kit which he had smuggled inside his fedora. The rabbit destroyed the Jackalope's energy crystal which caused them to lose their power and disintegrate. Afterwards, 105 and Sheila escaped with Linda in tow. With the Jackalopes vanquished Linda was taken to hospital where she would require treatment regarding her newfound horns. (PROSE: Jackalope [+]Loading...["Jackalope (short story)"])
