Loribet
Lady Loribetcazistanopilain was an agent of the Celestial Intervention Agency.
When the Daleks launched their first intertemporal attack against the planet Bav, Lady Loribet intercepted a peaceful data transmission between the Daleks and the Ka. However, as a result of her intervention, the Ka never fulfilled their projected potential and quietly went extinct.
Loribet and her young trainee later interfered with the Daleks' 666 Plot at the planet Teth, carelessly violating the Laws of Time in the process. After returning to Gallifrey, she allowed Lord Cavoristaliteras to escape trial for his crimes, then retired from the CIA. (PROSE: The Dalek Problem)
Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- The invalid role-playing guide which accompanied The Dalek Problem specified that Lady Loribet was a Chief CIA Field Operative and elaborated on her interventions.
- On Bav, she was sent to investigate the disappearance of operative Drasilinilevitaz and learned that the Ka would become galactic conquerers after receiving advanced technological data from the Daleks. When the Daleks learned their mistake and planted a Dalekanium bomb in the underground Ka city, Loribet traded the location of the bomb for the Daleks' technological data.
- On Teth, she was sent to undo damage to the timeline caused by her rival Lord Cavor, but the Bruul damaged her environmental suit and she returned to Gallifrey to regenerate. On her second trip to Teth, she was betrayed by Cavor and severely wounded; her TARDIS was damaged and briefly stranded in the Vortex, and she regenerated again. On her third and final trip, she transgressed the Laws of Time, travelled to before her first visit, and facilitated the explosion of a Dalek laboratory, preventing Cavor's disruption of the timeline.
- Loribet returned Cavor to Gallifrey, but he escaped the Citadel guards and stabbed her, then escaped in a stolen TARDIS, never to be heard from again. Following her third regeneration in short succession, Loribet retired and left Gallifrey to become a permanent intertemporal observer for the CIA.
