Luke Pendrell's father

Mr Pendrell was Luke Pendrell's father. He and his wife did not take Luke home from Winterborne School for Christmas 1994, for which they apologised with a cheque and a hasty apology written on Claridge's note-paper.
The Pendrells again neglected to pick him up for Whitsun in 1995. Luke expected a similar apology, but instead received a surprise visit from his father. As Andrew Powell was unaware of this, he believed that Luke was missing and informed Gavin Purcell. (HOMEVID: The Devil of Winterborne)
